I recently upgraded to Mathcad 11 from Mathcad 2000 on my Windows XP Pro machine. The Mathcad 11 files came to 107MB, not bad all things considered. However, Mathcad also installed something called "SafeCast Shared Components". These components occupy 1711MB! What's going on here? A search through the Mathsoft knowledge base for "SoftCast" didn't have any hits, so I figured it was safe to delete these components via the Control Panel. Unfortunately, they re-appear when I run Mathcad.
How can I get rid of the SafeCast Shared Components? Even in these days of super-sized harddisks, 1711MB is a lot of space.
