A couple of questions:
(1)Is there a way to download a collaboratory forum or all the email sections to my computer? (2)I saw in one of the post the listing of a book, cannot seem to find it now, but can you recommend a book that show step-by-step procedural steps for implementing both Mathcad 2001i and an statistical problem from any statistical books in a formats that Madcad understands? (3)Along that same line, I saw a reference to coursework or study work web page, is there a subscription fee to this forum? (4)Sorry for taking up so much time, my last question for now, is there a tutorial, training class for an individual offered or recommended by the collaborators or a member of the forum that starts the student at the basic level, that is no awareness of either Mathcad or Statistic?
I thank you for sharing your time and experiences in these matters with me.
Material below the line is unnecessary background information, regarding present individual concerns
Wow!
With Mathcad and this forum I may actual learn that the world of number is truly outstanding. Sorry for expressing my excitement, but when you have considered yourself non mathematical all of your life to see and hear professionals, expertise and students voice and graph their concerns and solutions it is a bit overwhelming. As you may have guess I am new to Mathcad and everything here as well as within my Mathcad is new and exciting to me. Although my goal is to gain a basic but comprehensive understanding of mathematics at the descriptive level my want to learn everything is stopping me for gaining a foot hold of the 1, 2 and 3s procedural steps for learning.
As yet, I cannot afford Mathcad 11, hopefully next year I can purchase the upgrade. As it currently stands, I am a recent purchaser and user of 2001i, although being a user is presently questionable. I am looking for a tutoral environment that is insulated with enough patience to instruct me in how to use both Mathcad and descriptive statistics starting at the most basic levels. That is, how to create a tally, how do you input the class interval, real limits, frequency distribution to create the basic charts, such as a histogram. The various statistical books I have purchased from used books store, even when I have scan the page into Mathcad seems not to work in that I have not used Mathcad termlogy correctly. I purchase this program to learn by making Mathcad my classroom and instructor on how to learn how to best self learn math, algebra, geometry, and statistics. I think Mathcad is the right means to establish and attain this goal of self learn. My problem is that Mathcad is at the Phd level and I am seeking entrance at the first grade level. This is good because Mathcad will more than meet my struggling goals of how to think through numbers. What is needed is that tutorial but mighty push to get to the chalkboard if you will so I can begin making my errors so that I can start to learn. So it seems that I am that first grader, sort speak, looking for a university classroom, with a set in the back of the room with hopes of going to the chalk board when all the other students leave the room after the class and demonstrations. A student hoping for a math direction
...Until...Reality...
