Last night I tried to start mathcad 11 on my home computer. The company I work for has a site license for Mathcad; but since I travel, I have a single-user license stand-alone. According to Mathsoft this entitles me to have mathcad on my work computer and also on my home computer. When I upgraded to version 11, they sent license files for both my work and home computer.
I got a message stating that my user license had expired!
Sure enough, when I looked, the license file at home had an expiration date of May 31, 2005 (I don't do much work at home!)
The one on my work computer says it's a permanent license, there is no date.
Fair warning: you may be in for a nasty surprise.
